A small post to recommend the BBC series Our Food, currently available on iPlayer. If you can ignore Giles Coren's TV persona, I think it's fantastic (don't get me wrong - I love his writing, I just can't stand his forced style, and the way he interrupts the people he's interviewing). I'd consider my knowledge of UK food production above average, but knew little about some of the things like UK saffron or essential oil production!
